In the make-believe idyllic American village known as “Meritown”, everyone is polite, diverse, accepting, self aware, and respectful. But when newcomer Ben enters Meritown Diner, longtime Meritown citizen Andrew has a few questions.
This tense diner encounter tests the limits of the expectations we have for each other in a society, and what it could look like if everything was “perfect”, but in Meritown, the cost of perfection is higher than you might think.

Andrew: Confident and even keeled. Has the ability to ask introspective questions, but manipulation is at the heart of his caring facade.

Ben: Quirky, silly, not self-aware. Loves connecting with people, but struggles in his relationships.

Maryam: Spunky, confident, loves to gossip and tell jokes. Owner of Meritown Cafe.
Middle Eastern Descent, Female, Age 35-85. All disabilities welcome.
